Engineering geology is a fundamental scientific – technical discipline, subject of which is a field as a natural geological environment, working environment and living environment. Its primary objective is to define, through completion of complex geological surveys, the interaction between earth and various civil structures, physical – mechanical properties of rock mass, stability and bearing capacity of the field.

HYDROGEOLOGY

Hydrogeology is the study of groundwater; it deals with origin of groundwater, geological conditions under which groundwater exists and moves, distribution of groundwater, types of groundwater  reservoirs, groundwater regime, conditions of charging and discharging of groundwater, reserves, chemism, contamination and protection of groundwater.
