Geological investigation and development of Geological study for Preliminary and Final design for Bar – Boljari Highway

During the past period (2005 – 2009), complex geological surveys were carried out for geotechnical documentation, level of the Preliminary Design, for section Smokovac – Uvac – Matesevo, results of which were synthesized in corresponding geotechnical studies for each individual open route, tunnel, viaduct and bridge.

During 2015, the international Consortium consisting of GEOPROJEKT d.o.o. Podgorica – IRGO Consaltning d.o.o. Ljubljana – CNTG d.o.o. Belgrade carried out the detailed geotechnical investigations along the corridor of design route of the Bar –Boljari Highway, section Smokovac – Uvac – Matesevo, results of which were synthesized in the corresponding geotechnical elaborations for each individual open route, tunnel, viaduct and bridge for needs of the Final Civil Design for adopted alignment of the Bar – Boljari Highway, section Smokovac – Uvac – Matesevo, in length of about 41 km. The investigations included: detail engineering geological surface mapping, exploratory drilling in amount of more than 6500’ m, completion of over 100 trial pits, 500 pressuremeter tests, installation of inclinometers, dynamic penetration tests, geophysical tests – geoelectrical scanning and refraction seismic tests of high resolution along the profiles in total length of over 50000m’, soil and rock laboratory tests.
